about the author

My name is Alison, I am now 45, my stories are based on protecting and helping children and teenagers, due to being subjected to abuse as a child myself. I wrote the book in a way where if it had been read to me as a child, I would have spoken up then rather than later. This book and future books will be based on helping and guiding children of all ages, I’m hoping to keep them safe and prevent any harm to them.

about the book

Queenie is an angel who comes to explain to the children the importance of speaking up straight away about their abuse. She even tells them who they can tell. Queenie teaches Amy and her best friend, Samuel, that it is okay to confide with an adult when they are forced to contend with abuse, be it physical or sexual. You can tell people that can make you safe, your class teacher, a policeman or woman. You could tell your mum or dad, or you can call Childline’s helpline.
